PROSTO24: New Tools for 1C Extension Verification After Configuration Updates

Updating 1C configurations often introduces the risk of breaking integrated extensions, external processing modules, and integration components. Standard configuration checks frequently fail to identify all potential issues, leading to critical problems being discovered by end-users in a live production environment.

1C Extension Checker 2.0: Proactive Extension Diagnostics

To address this challenge, 1C Extension Checker 2.0 has been developed. This standalone external processing tool is designed for preliminary verification of connected extensions. It systematically logs all identified issues into a single protocol, enabling the detection of malfunctions before they impact operational workflows. This includes scenarios where an extension connects without explicit errors but fails when opening specific forms, referencing renamed modules, or executing particular code segments.

1C Extension Auditor: In-Depth Compatibility Analysis

Complementing Checker 2.0, the 1C Extension Auditor offers a specialized solution for comprehensive compatibility analysis of 1C extensions following standard configuration updates. The Auditor facilitates:

  • Identifying the limitations of conventional extension verification methods.
  • Pinpointing changes in procedures and functions that impact extension code.
  • Comparing configurations both before and after updates to detect critical modifications.
  • Categorizing discovered issues into critical, adaptation-required, and warning levels.

These two tools can be utilized in tandem for thorough diagnostic assessments. Future developments plan to explore the utility of free AI models in analyzing 1C code changes and predicting potential risks.
