Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max: Photography Innovations and Performance Boost

Huawei has officially launched its new flagship smartphone, the Mate 90 Pro Max, in China, with a strong emphasis on advanced photography capabilities. The device stands out with its unique camera system and the latest Kirin processors.

Advanced Camera System for Professional Photography

A standout feature of the Mate 90 Pro Max is its 200-megapixel periscopic telephoto camera. This camera incorporates RYYB color filters, traditionally known for enhancing light sensitivity and image quality in challenging low-light conditions. Furthermore, the flagship includes a modular camera with a one-inch sensor and a large lens, positioning it as a solution for professional-grade photography. The optical zoom range, based on previous leaks and speculations, might span 24–240 mm.

New Generation Kirin Chips with LogicFolding Technology

The Mate 90 series, including the Pro Max model, is powered by a new generation of flagship Kirin chips. In addition to the previously announced Kirin 9030 and 9035, Huawei introduced the first processors manufactured using the innovative LogicFolding technology—the Kirin 9050 and 9050 Pro models. These multi-layered chips deliver significantly increased transistor density, leading to improved overall performance and enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities. Consequently, the Mate 90 Pro Max not only sets new benchmarks in mobile photography but also demonstrates substantial progress in mobile processor architecture.
