MTS B2B Implements RAG to Streamline Meeting Preparation
The Customer Value Management (CVM) B2B team at MTS, led by Tech Lead Artyom Kaledin and ML Engineer Alexander Shvaiko, has developed and deployed a new system based on the Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture. This innovative development is designed to significantly reduce the time managers spend preparing for meetings with company technical directors, while also enhancing the quality of recommendations and content provided.
Addressing Challenges in Client Meeting Preparation
Previously, employees relied on a Telegram bot for information gathering, but business objectives demanded a more efficient solution. The primary challenge was the difficulty in quickly finding relevant product materials and identifying key benefits for specific clients, even when all necessary information was available. The new MTS RAG system was created in response to these needs, with a strong focus on minimizing “hallucinations”—the generation of inaccurate or fabricated data.
RAG System Architecture and Future Plans
Details of the system’s architecture, development stages, and achieved results were presented during a report at the Inside AI Meetup. The MTS CVM B2B team shared their experience in building a reliable RAG solution that, according to them, almost entirely eliminates hallucinations. Future plans include further development and refinement of the system to ensure maximum accuracy and relevance of the information required for effective client interactions.
MTS B2B’s RAG implementation for meeting prep is a critical step in operationalizing AI within enterprise workflows. The focus on minimizing hallucinations, a persistent challenge in RAG systems, particularly with complex B2B data, is commendable. It suggests a robust indexing and retrieval strategy, likely incorporating advanced semantic search and perhaps multi-stage verification to ensure factual accuracy for high-stakes client interactions. This could significantly impact decision-making efficiency and client trust.
