Generative AI and ERP: Growing Interest in Russian Business

Russian businesses are showing significant interest in integrating Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) into their enterprise systems, including CRM and ERP. Over the past year, demand for such solutions has increased two to three-fold. Search query statistics confirm this trend: inquiries for “Bitrix24 AI” surged by 600%, “CRM with neural network” by 550%, and “AI in 1C” by 85%.

According to SberAnalitika and Sber Business Soft, 39% of Russian organizations already utilize AI agents and assistants to optimize document management, financial operations, and HR processes. However, despite the overall increase in interest, the ERP sector remains relatively conservative. In most cases, AI is connected to these systems as separate services rather than embedded functionality.

The ERP Market: Readiness for AI Innovations

The volume of the Russian ERP system market is projected to reach approximately 100 billion rubles by the end of 2025, demonstrating steady growth. Concurrently, there is immense interest in implementing embedded AI tools. Nevertheless, the percentage of companies actively using AI directly within ERP remains small. Currently, new AI services are emerging that can be integrated into existing ERP systems via API.

Before embarking on implementation, organizations must thoroughly assess the justification for using AI for specific tasks, select the optimal integration method, and understand that in most scenarios, a more rational approach involves gradually augmenting, rather than completely replacing, corporate ERP systems with artificial intelligence capabilities.
